I’ve been actively writing on Medium, sharing cybersecurity content, bug bounty writeups, and practical insights. Everything was going smoothly.
Until one day… I opened my dashboard.
And saw this:
Status: Inactive
No warning. No explanation. Just inactive.
Wait… What?
At first, I thought it might be a glitch.
Because:
- I already had an active Medium membership
- I had filled all required details
- My payout settings were configured
- I was consistently publishing content
So why was my Partner Program suddenly inactive?
What I Tried to Fix It
Like anyone else would, I started troubleshooting.
Here’s what I did:
- Re-enrolled in the Partner Program
- I filled out the entire application again carefully.
- Completed payout details
- Added my bank details, tax info, and address.
Verified my profile
Made sure:
- Profile picture is added
- Bio is complete
- Stories are published
Contacted Medium Support
I sent them a detailed email explaining the issue.
And guess what?
Still no change.

Turns out:
